Day at Disney Village with Bella

I know. I know. Where have I been all this time? You think retirement is easy? You think I have tons of time on my hands? Think again. Getting the time to sit and plan these posts take more time for me (anyway) that I thought. Well, here we go. Grandma and I took Bella to Disney Village thinking it would be all decorated for Halloween. Boy, were we wrong. There was hardly any Halloween decorations other than an over sized pumpkin. We managed to have a great time riding the train and the merry-go-round.

Happy Mother's Day

The was a very unusual Mother's Day. Mom was not able to attend dinner with us because she was in the hospital recovering from major cancer surgery. She is so amazing. She came through the surgery pretty darn good for 96. She was in good spirits and was able to get out of bed and sit on a chair for a while the day after surgery. Dr. Charlene was so helpful during this entire process. We cannot thank her enough for making sure Mom got the best of care. Anyway, after a large family dinner at So Napa restaurant in Maitland we all went back to the hospital to visit with Mom. Renee mad a delicious pistachio cake (unbelievable) and even Bella came to say hi to "Great Gram". When she came to dinner one of the first things she said was "Where's Great Gram?" I know she will not like this but here she is the morning after her surgery. She looks pretty awesome to me!
Here we are ready for Mother's Day. Happy Mother's Day Sweetheart!

Happy Easter!

Holy Cow. Has it been since Christmas since I last put anything on this Blog? How lame is that? We were blessed to be with Bella, Traci, Joe and Cheryl and Tim for breakfast with the Easter Bunny at Brio's. It was a beautiful morning and we had a good time. So did Bella.
